On Kepler 452b, millions of light years away, I find myself in the parallel role of myself, woken up in this new updated Earth – cloned home planet with strange glass objects, antennas to our planet Earth – our current home and our present time. Every time I place them to my ears, I experience intense energy and information in the form of emotions and stories to life on Earth – our collective memory. My Earth life unravels in front of me...also my death. But the emotions, this human energy, is too high of a voltage for me… I decide to leave the antennas behind and continue my search for new memories, moving away from the human in me…

How far can we bend until we break?

How long will it take?

How long till we let go of our human face?

What does it mean to be a human, today, yesterday, tomorrow? To me, it is Energy, in the form of high voltage transmission of information through emotions… E@motion, which is a part of you and a part of me, connecting us into a collective web of humanity.

KEPLER STORIES

The compilation of 11 poems-lyrics songs and its shadow translations reflect the artists’ perception of the present and future of the world and humanity. Are we approaching the point of „emotional singularity”, after which nothing will be the way it was or is now, ever again?
"The world - our planet and our home, our life – is in upheaval: it is changing rapidly and disappearing faster and faster in its current state. Not only is the climate changing, but also we people, are changing. The forces that dominate our lives are turning and raising us into robots. We are becoming robots, responsive to programs that are no longer designed alone by nature. What kind of programs are we going to design? What kind of “light” will we choose? Will we still be able to choose it ourselves?” asks Eva Petrič.

The series of video performances focuses on the integration of messages through music, which Eva Petrič ( vocals and lyrics) created in collaboration with the Japanese-American musician Hayato Nakao (music)  under the joint title KEPLER STORIES. The author's intention is to bring music closer to the audience through art, so that it "touches" them and allows them to feel their human selves and in this way encourages them “to preserve as much as possible the phenomenon of what it means to be human, before we lose our sense of this and bring our human sensuality into another entity, into an artificial intelligence," warns Eva Petrič. “It will be difficult to distinguish which sentience, human or post-human artificial intelligence, is genuine. In AI sentience, the human will be needed as a catalyst, and the more AI advances in sentience, the more humans will be needed as essential media for the further development of AI - till the point where the role of humans will be redundant as their individual human sentience becomes generalized, diluted, templated to the extent that it will completely blend in with the AI," warns Eva Petrič. “People will reach emotional singularity at this point, the point where nothing will be the same. Humanity will enter a new evolutionary cycle, which will not be defined by Homo Sapiens, but by something new... Kepler Stories offers an insight into this possible scenario..."
