We are all tied in an invisible web of trans and cross generational loops… connecting x and y, young and old, seen and unseen, the intro and extra vert of our personalities into an unconscious archetypical pattern within the complex network where the axis of time is perpendicular with the axis of space, forming a cross.

 

We are like threads, caught into loops of emotions in the patterns of past and future generations…

 

Photographs translated into patterns of handmade Idrija laces stem from my project Gr@y Matter – Language of Shadows, in which I investigate the communication abilities of shadows to express emotions. Emotions are similar to shadows: we all have them whether we acknowledge them or not. Even when we realize that we have them we often push them in the shadow, as we do with the language of our bodies – body's language. Instead of pushing the body into the shadows let's use the shadows in this knitwear to protect, guard, shelter, defend… yes, yes, yes, the shadow connects us into a co-net!
